Follow your heart on a journey of discovery. Listen to the Voice within and do what It says, even if it sometimes doesn't make sense according to what you believe are your "personal" best interests. Your passion to discover the Truth will guide you on and draw others along with you. The journey is about forgiving the past and remembering the Love that is ever-present. Love waits only for your welcoming and acceptance. When the heart is ready, the witnesses will appear. If you make ready the Altar of your mind, God will come into awareness. God is always present.
Innocence is unfettered by the laws and ways-of-thinkingof the world. With faith to just take the next step, Life takes care of Life. Contentment and happiness come from simple non-judgement, extending love, and letting go of the idea that you really know what anything of this world is for. The journey is simply a yielding, or surrender, to What Is. When you give up trying to control the direction of the wind, the feather of serenity will gently make its way to you. You are the Restful State of Divine Mind. Bask in What You Are Deep inside.
Many Blessings Dear Brothers and Sisters,
David.
The Gifts of God
A message from Kirsten
Is the picture you are painting of your life a sad and sorry dirge, or is it a love song to God? We had fun with this topic at a church service this month, and before long the service itself became a love song to God--or perhaps it was a love song with God. The church service was inspired by the ACIM workbook lesson "I am entrusted with the gifts of God," and we thoroughly enjoyed it! You can listen to it by clicking on the link below.
Realizing that our will is one with God's and embracing the fact that the Holy Spirit is Guiding us to do what is actually our heart's desire is absolutely essential if we want awakening to be a happy venture! The ego insists that this is a path of sacrifice; that the Holy Spirit is some external authority that is going to make us walk through fire. And this is simply not the case! We are being Guided into our joy, to do what makes our heart sing!
The gifts that are received by saying Yes to the Holy Spirit's Plan for us are spiritual, they are tangible, you can feel the power and the Presence and the beauty that inspires them. And when these gifts are experienced, you can't help but want to give them away, to share them! One morning we had so much joy bubbling up we had to call Birgit and leave a chorus of "We love you's" on her answer phone. Then we had to call Sue and Greg and join in the joy with them, and on it went... the joy of the miracle! Then into the church service where it was shared even further! God has soooo much to give us, and it is so simple! All that needs to happen is our heart has to be open and willing to receive it! So what is awakening but a denial of unworthiness and a willingness to say "Yes, I Accept!!!!" It's like a marriage proposal that is offered over and over and over again, and each tentative "Yes" results in a deepened experience of intimacy and gentle love.
Our focus is on moving into expressive and purposeful activities that are avenues for the Spirit to flow through and train the mind. What you may be Guided into is literally limitless--the Spirit can use almost anything that the ego made as a helpful tool to channel energy and re-inspire! This past month has been like watching a garden come into full bloom here at The Beacon. Every day we have been blown away by another beautiful flower that has bloomed right before our eyes! Of course we knew the buds of potential were there but wow, when the flower blooms with such beauty it is sooooo glorious!!! Karen is doing creative movie-editing projects and has found her long-lost singing voice; Colin has re-awoken his voice and new songs are pouring through him from the Spirit; Peter is harmonizing and joining in the music, and bounding down the beach like a graceful deer; Melanie is embracing Heart Dance in a whole new way and allowing herself to Rest in God; Michael is flying and shining through his Spirit-inspired radio show; Jackie has found her Joy; and me, well I've never felt so clear and happy!
Many, many blessings to you, beloved brothers and sisters, I am joined with you in the Spirit of Awakening!
Kirsten

Learning to Listen and Follow
By Rochelle Jekot
Just over a year ago, I put out a very small, quiet prayer. I almost didn't know I even did it, but I did. What next Holy Spirit (HS)? One of my Mighty Companions (MC) had just moved interstate to follow her Hearts calling; beautiful Mel. She'd always been the one who seemed to be half a step in front of me, guiding me and shining her light. Now what? Where has that light gone if it's not here in front of me? It seemed it was time to see if I could recognize that light within myself. I was about to be shown, "What next?". Mel came back after a few months and landed on my doorstep with another MC, Jason--life hasn't been the same since. And so began a year that has been filled with Miracles. When you ask with all of your heart for all blocks to Love's awareness to be cleared, you are answered. I have been blasted with Light!
My recent trip to Sweden, Italy, and Croatia has been no exception. I feel to share about one part of the trip that was used so perfectly by the HS for the healing of my mind: the drive from Italy to Croatia. It seemed that I would be the "Travel Co-ordinator" for the Croatia part of the trip. This is something that I definitely would not ordinarily put my hand up for, but the moment it was mentioned the HS very quietly said "Yes." I couldn't deny it felt really right, yet the fear came straight into awareness. The first part, just saying yes, is that small step I always find so hard to take. But the thought that "someone else can do it much better" seems just not to wash when the HS is whispering in your ear.
Halfway through our drive to Croatia, I was ready to get out of the car and go back under that rock I tend to crawl under when the going gets too much. We started the drive and someone asked "Where are the maps?" "'In the boot," I said. So we stopped on the freeway to get them. "Where are the maps we need right now?" they asked. The Google maps I'd printed off were woefully inadequate, so we had to just go by the HS's Guidance, with the signs on the freeway that seemed to point to Slovenian sounding names of towns. Croatia was still seven hours away. I was driving at this point, something I thought I'd never do. I had a huge fear of driving on the right hand side of the road in a left-hand drive. I was feeling pretty upset with the HS at this point for making me say yes to being travel coordinator.
We got to the Slovenian border and were pulled over. I was removed from the car by a woman demanding 'Vignette." It seems we needed this vignette, a pass, to travel on the Slovenian motorway, which I didn't have, of course. My passport was taken and then I was informed I would have to pay up to 450 euro in fines. I managed to walk out with paying 150 euro, plus 30 euro for the pass itself. As we kept driving, a very vague memory came back to me of reading on the internet about this pass, which I shared with Jason. It was a call for attentiveness to details.
It became clearer that the Google maps I had thought were sufficient were not detailed enough. They were not going to get us to our hotel we'd booked for that night, where we were meeting three others. In identifying with feeling like a total failure, I made some decisions by myself that just became more delay. I even asked Jason, "Should I buy these maps at the petrol station and get the guy to show us where the motel street is?" He responded, "No, he won't know where it is, we are wasting our time." But I went blindly in and bought them, thinking I had to fix this problem myself. Jason was right. The HS was speaking directly to me and I still couldn't listen and follow.
We kept driving and it felt as if the HS was pushing me to look at what just happened, when all I wanted to do was crawl away yet again. I didn't want to look at how stupid I feel, how useless I am at directing. So anger came up, and what did the HS do? Beams with Love! Aaagggrrrhhh!! So we prayed. I heard from the HS in response, "Text Catherine, who should be arriving at Zadar airport soon, and tell her to wait with Frances and Helena for us so we can follow their taxi to the hotel." After over seven hours of driving, plus a full-on morning with Sonia in Italy (that morning was about a years worth of undoing), plus the night before in another lifetime of undoing and very little sleep, we arrived about 10 minutes after their plane landed. Now if that isn't Divinely orchestrated I don't know what is!
The next challenge for me was driving in Zadar which was a bit different than driving on the motorway. We tried to explain to the taxi driver at the airport, who spoke very little English, that I was a very foreign driver. Miraculously, he got it! From the moment I started following him I thought, "He's got my back." He was like an angel guiding me. Who would know that driving was turning out to be such a lesson in Trust and Surrender! During the final piece of driving that night, I couldn't deny the feeling of joy that was creeping into me. Spirit was with me! I still didn't want to face the three people who'd just arrived, or talk about the drive down to meet them, but of course it was a perfect opportunity for sharing and joining and seeing the Truth. Forgiveness without guilt.
Still, the next morning I did NOT want to drive because I didn't want to tackle the town of Split and get onto the ferry, but I heard the HS guide me to do it anyway. I ignored it, hoping that no-one had heard what I had heard and that someone else would take the wheel. But of course the guidance isn't just for me specifically...they all knew I'd be driving! So off I drove again, trusting it was another lesson in listening and following. I only drove for 10 minutes, that's all that was required for that day. It was a beautiful moment for me: I did not know what anything was for; I was just willing to follow.
The HS had a day of Miracles in store for us. We found the ferry terminal with no problems and met Tony with the keys to the apartment. He asked if we had a map to get to the apartment. Oh no, here we go again! He said it would be almost impossible to find it without a map. That sinking feeling came right back in. "What now, Holy Spirit?" Then Tony called a friend who just happened to be taking the same ferry that we were. He drove up as Tony was talking to him. He guided us the whole way to the apartment. We were so taken care of!!
I'm overwhelmed with Gratitude and would be here forever trying to write about each and every Miracle that occurred during the two weeks in Croatia. I seemed to have a few instances of feeling like I'd come full circle. It was like this strange feeling of de-ja-vu, of having seen or experienced these realizations before. A feeling like at the end of the movie Inception, where Leonardo's character finds his old friend from so long ago, and there is the recognition, the remembrance, that it's time to go Home.
"Beyond the body, beyond the sun and stars, past everything you see and yet somehow familiar, is an arc of golden light that stretches as you look into a great and shining circle. And all the circle fills with light before your eyes. The edges of the circle disappear, and what is in it is no longer contained at all. The light expands and covers everything, extending to infinity forever shining, and with no break or limit anywhere. Within it everything is joined in perfect continuity. Nor is it possible to imagine that anything could be outside, for there is nowhere that this light is not." ACIM T21.1.8 The Inner Picture.
David and the Messengers meet with those who desire to discern between the ego's thought system and the Holy Spirit's purpose of forgiveness. Acknowledging that truth is in the Mind, they offer an invitation to engage in the uncovering of the beliefs that seem to obstruct the awareness of love's presence. The Messengers of Peace serve as mighty companions for each other and recognize that awakening is not a casual endeavour, but one that demands a deliberate and uncompromising commitment. The depth of devotion and faith reflect their willingness to question all assumptions. Total transformation of the mind is approached with passion, devotion, and a burning desire from within. This is their unified goal and purpose.
